God’s creation of us and the universe,
his continuing provision for us,
and toleration of our existence,
even after our rebellion against him,
and his redemption of us through Jesus,
are one (true) story,
marked at each step by God’s odd way of
working non-coercively
and gaining by losing,
which is also our way in discipleship to Jesus.
